Visits to the homebound: Anyone who is unable to attend Mass regularly and would like to be visited by a Priest is asked to call the Rectory (301 423-4244).
Prayer Requests: A call to one of these three receivers will result in over 80 people prayerfully supporting your request: Pat Clark (301-894-4582), Kathy Giroux (301-735-4448), or Debbie Rose (301-449-6019). Your needs will be kept confidential, if requested.
Keeping in touch: Send us your e-mail address to receive timely notice of happenings in our parish. We use this to supplement our prayer circle, so send your prayer requests also to: philipapostle@aol.com.
Parish-Based Counseling Service: Phone: 301-568-9529. Individual, family, and crisis counseling is provided by professional counselors at minimal cost (determined by sliding scale). Appointments are made through Catholic Charities, and sessions are conducted at area parishes. All information is kept strictly confidential.
Project Gabriel: Need help with a crisis pregnancy? The Gabriel Project is an ecumenical movement of churches committed to helping women and families in crisis pregnancies. The Sign of Life, with its "800" number hotline, assures any mother that the local church community cares for her and is prepared to offer immediate and practical help with her pregnancy. After calling the toll-free hotline( 1-800-264-3565 ), women are referred to the nearest pro-life pregnancy center. The center then decides whether the mother can benefit from being matched with a church to help her through her pregnancy. For more information or to volunteer, call 301-262-9011. Assistance includes various types of support (prayer, transportation, meals, clothing, baby products), and "shepherding home."
