What Will the RCIA Class Cover?

“And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” (Acts of the Apostles 2:42)

As in the early Christian communities, in our RCIA classes, we will look at the four main pillars on which the life of faith rests. First, we will cover “the apostles’ teaching,” that is, the Creed, which contains in it all the essential pieces of the Catholic faith. Next, we will consider the 7 Sacraments and especially “the breaking of bread” which is an ancient term for the sacrament of the Eucharist. Also, we will look at God’s Commandments, which summarize the Moral Teachings of the Church. Finally, we will learn about “the prayers” of the Church and how one enters into Prayer.

Please talk to April King or Fr.. Ted if you have any questions, concerns or would like more info on RCIA.

We hope you or someone you know can join us!

May the peace of Christ be with you and your family!
