Abstinence from meat is observed on Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, and all the Fridays of Lent by all Catholics 14 years of age but not yet 59 years old. Those who are bound by fasting may take only one full meal. Two smaller meals are permitted as necessary to maintain strength according to one’s needs. During Lent, the Church encourages attendance at daily Mass, self-imposed times of fasting, almsgiving, and works of charity.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

“For just as a body without a spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.” James 2:26

The Parish Pastoral Council is working to create a more welcoming environment within the parish. Also, the parish is in need of more ushers for the weekend Masses, volunteers for hosting Community Sundays, and special occasions such as First Holy Communion and Confirmation. If you would like to volunteer, please fill out this form and return it to the rectory or drop it in the offertory collection at Mass. We ask that you prayerfully consider volunteering your time and talents to the parish.

VOCATION PRAYER: Dear God, bless our family life and nurture us with your love and care. Help us to be attentive to the needs of one another. Guide us to reach beyond our home in service to others. We ask you to open the hearts of our children to hear your voice, to know their true vocation, and to find true happiness in you.  Amen.

“The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.”     Mt. 9:37-38
